Twilight - The Movie
what do you live for?
I saw the Twilight trailer during the opening for Batman. I knew nothing about this movie, so I decided to do some research. Here's a little clip about Twilight.
This action packed movie is based off of Stephenie Meyer's Book, Twilight. A young adult style romance between a teenage human girl and a reformed blood sucking vampire. Here's a Book/Movie comparison in an MTV interview with the cast of Twilight.
Editorial Review -
"Softly he brushed my cheek, then held my face between his marble hands. 'Be very still,' he whispered, as if I wasn't already frozen. Slowly, never moving his eyes from mine, he leaned toward me. Then abruptly, but very gently, he rested his cold cheek against the hollow at the base of my throat."
As Shakespeare knew, love burns high when thwarted by obstacles. In Twilight, an exquisite fantasy by Stephenie Meyer, readers discover a pair of lovers who are supremely star-crossed. Bella adores beautiful Edward, and he returns her love. But Edward is having a hard time controlling the blood lust she arouses in him, because--he's a vampire. At any moment, the intensity of their passion could drive him to kill her, and he agonizes over the danger. But, Bella would rather be dead than part from Edward, so she risks her life to stay near him, and the novel burns with the erotic tension of their dangerous and necessarily chaste relationship.
Meyer has achieved quite a feat by making this scenario completely human and believable. She begins with a familiar YA premise (the new kid in school), and lulls us into thinking this will be just another realistic young adult novel. Bella has come to the small town of Forks on the gloomy Olympic Peninsula to be with her father. At school, she wonders about a group of five remarkably beautiful teens, who sit together in the cafeteria but never eat. As she grows to know, and then love, Edward, she learns their secret. They are all rescued vampires, part of a family headed by saintly Carlisle, who has inspired them to renounce human prey. For Edward's sake they welcome Bella, but when a roving group of tracker vampires fixates on her, the family is drawn into a desperate pursuit to protect the fragile human in their midst. The precision and delicacy of Meyer's writing lifts this wonderful novel beyond the limitations of the horror genre to a place among the best of YA fiction. (Ages 12 and up) --Patty Campbell

You might compare this movie to Buffy The Vampire Slayer or even The Covenant.

The Hottest Star In Hollywood
With the opening of Batman: The Dark Knight in
theaters this week, we take a look at the hottest star in
Hollywood. He has landed some of the most coveted
roles in Hollywood. He exploded on to the star scene
with the most anticipated movie since Batman & Robin.
Before Batman Begins aired on the big screen, Christian
Bale was not a household name, but after millions had seen him
as Bruce Wayne in the new Batman movie, he gained overnight
attention, success and recognition. Bale finally seemed to have
reached the coveted “Star“ status.
Newsies, Little Women, Reign of Fire & Equilibrium.
More recently, he stared in a cowboy adventure, 3:10 to Yuma; a remake of the 1957 film directed by Delmer Daves, staring Glenn Ford (Ben Wade) & Van Heflin (Dan Evans).
Bale (Evans), opposite his charismatic antagonist and co-star, Russel Crowe, rush to get the infamous murderer, outlaw Ben Wade (Crowe) aboard the prison car of the 3:10 train bound for Yuma.
Bale then stared in The Prestige, playing a talented magician next to his best friend Robert (Hugh Jackman), a fellow magician. Following an unfortunate accident during one of their magic tricks (in which Robert’s wife drowns), Bale is accused of killing her. The friends separate and continue their careers as magicians, but Robert obsessively pursues the idea that Alfred (Bale) caused the untimely death of his wife.
Returning in the Batman sequel,
Christian Bale continues his climb to
Bale has claimed yet another coveted role playing John Conner in the new instillation of Terminator.
John Conner resides in the year 2018, surviving the continued apocalypse of Earth's human occupants by the dreaded Skynet, a robotic army out to annihilate the entire human race.
Terminator Salvation is not considered to be Terminator 4. This is the first movie in a brand new trilogy all it's own. This will be a Terminator you've never seen before. There will be a whole new twist to the traditional Terminator story line you're use to hearing.
How exciting!
Another smash hit for Bale.
Where will this Hollywood Super Star go next I wonder?

This blog is an edgier version of what I usually do.
A more mainstream look at things.
My previous blog, Real World Connections was a lighter take on life.
The good, the positive, the uplifting.
This will be more focused on main stream topics and my personal opinions about things.
I'm shedding the nice guy image and take a little more of a rougher slant to things.
Still positive, still uplifting, but more mainstream, more “real”.
I'll be reviewing blogs, music and movies regularly.
My sarcasm with shine through and I won‘t be holding back!!!
Ok - Maybe a little bit. lol
Stay Tuned!!! :D
